The great thing about technology is it makes our life simpler, more enriched and powerful, and hopefully helps to navigate the world we live in, whether for business, personal use, entertainment, or all of the above. The not-so-great thing about technology is the platforms and hardware are constantly changing, and with those changes updating and upgrading is needed.

And that’s where we find ourselves in 2022. The North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort (and Exhibit Department staff) have been operating with older technology for several years now, with many of the devices and displays way past their useful life expectancy, and replacements are overdue.

So, with that said, our Annual Appeal is focused on raising much-needed funds to replace the Museum’s older technology – touch screens, video monitors, software, and more – and to create a new multimedia marquee for the auditiorium. There are several ways to donate, a simple amount towards the purchase of the new hardware, monitors, cables, wires and other technical support items needed, OR, you can purchase an entire touch screen monitor, video screen and/or other hardware, cables, etc. needed to enable us to POWER UP the Museum! We will proudly display your name on the item you purchase.
